The Story Behind The Shoal Shad

The Shoal Shad was developed through more than a year of prototyping, testing, and refinement. I worked through multiple configurations before arriving at the final design you see today.

From the beginning, my goal was to build a glide bait that remained stable, balanced, and controllable in moving water. Rivers and shoals put different demands on a bait, so every adjustment was made with those conditions in mind.

Those same qualities translate just as well to lakes, ponds, and other still waters. The result is a versatile glide bait built to track naturally, stay composed, and perform across a wide range of conditions.

Every Shoal Shad reflects countless hours spent testing, adjusting, and refining the design until it performed the way I wanted.
